(Bilbo, Thoin, and Balin) When you all saw the city of Dale for the first time in ages(and first time ever for Bilbo), what did it make you feel and why?(Gandalf) You have seen Dale before the adventure, what was it like then and how did you feel about it and what made you feel that way?
(Throin) Well, seeing Dale for the first time since I had to leave was amazing and terrible all at once. I mean it will never be the same again ever since Smaug the dragon destroyed it. It was sad and hard to see because I grew up there and when I saw it it was like my home and childhood had been destroyed and i could never get it back. It was also a bit of a reminder of my childhood because the city may have been in ruins but i still recognized bits and pieces of certain buldings and that made feel good and it mad me feel empowered to slay Smaug and get my old city back
ReplyDelete(Balin) Yeah, I feel almost the same way as Thorin, because I know what he is talking about because i grew up in Dale with Thorin. When I saw it just wanted to punch something rapidly because that stupid Smaug ruined my beloved city. Our beloved city. I wanted vengeance so badly on that stupid dragon. Seeing that city put me in battle mode and I was ready to destroy Smaug. I would do whatever it takes to get him dead, get my treasure, and get the city I once called home back. Looking at the ruined city made me want to get my revenge on the Dragon.
ReplyDelete(Bilbo) When I saw the city of Dale for the first time in my life I was fascinated by it. I didn't expect it to be nice, I expected it to be very gross, old, and broken down. I found that my expectations were true and false. Sure it was run down and basically in ruins, but when I looked past all of that, the city was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. The buildings were so beautiful and so well crafted. I could see why Thorin and Balin liked it here so much as kids. When I saw the city in its ruins, I also felt Thorin and Balin's pain because the city looked like it used to be beautiful and I also wanted revenge against the evil Smaug.
ReplyDelete(Gandalf) Ah yes, I remember going to visit Dale one day when I had some important business to deal with over in lake town. When I saw it, of course it was my first time, I felt bad and terrible. Seeing the city of dale made me have a soft spot for the dwarfs who used to live there. When Throin asked me to accompany him on his adventure I said yes because I knew what Dale looked like and I had pity for him and his crew of dwarfs. I felt compassionate to help them get their city back and their treasure back that is right fully theirs.
