A bad start to an exciting adventure

As you all know the start of your adventure to the lonley mountain wasnt the most pleasent experience. You got rained on and almost got eaten by trolls. How did that make you feel?

  1. (Bilbo) Well I hated every bit of it. It was wet everywhere and we almost got ate. That would have never happened in my hobbit hole. I did feel that i was being very brave and foolish though trying to pick pocket that trolls pocket. It was obiouse he was going to catch me. I was very bold though because i took a risk for once in my life and i think it payed off because even though i didnt succeed in pick pocketing the troll the whole experience showed me that i have it in me to be daring and bold and i think that helped me in the long run of the adventure.

  2. (Thorin) Bilbo, personally at the time I thought you were very stupid to try and do that to the troll and you were messing up everything and there was no piont in taking you along in the adventure. But now i feel a tiny bit different in that have some braveness in you. During the beginning of the adventure when it started to rain i kept thinking to myself.... oh no this adventure is not going to turn out well and everything will be ruined. It turned out to be a pretty fun adventure thought and the rain and the trolls seem like a little problem compared to everything else we had been through am I right or am I right?

  3. (Gandalf) I can't say too much about this subject because for half of it I wasnt even there with you guys. When it had started to rain and everything got ruined i told myself that it was ok becasue this adventure was going to have much worse things occur in it than just some rain. As for the incedent with the trolls, when i came to the rescue for the dwarfs and Bilbo I had to think quick about whether or not to act or to stay quiet, so of course i combined both elements by talking as each of the trolls voices and tricking those stupid trolls into staying outside before sunrise. Then they turned into stone and we were all ok so i felt that it was a pretty... cool way to kick off the adventure.

  5. (Balin) I feel that the first part of the adventure definatly had its ups and downs considering that it rained at first couple of days and it stunk because it really put a damper on our mood and as Thorin said he felt that the adventure would not turn out very well. I felt the same way because i knew that if we were feeling down about rain, would there be worse things that would make us feel worse(and there was). As for the troll incident, that was really a rude awakening for me because a moment ago I was moping about the rain and now I just got sacked by trolls and almost eaten by them. This showed me that the adventure would get really tough and that I should never lose hope or feel bad just because its raining because there might be something worse then just rain in the near future.

  6. (Thorin) Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to say thank you Balin. Yes, I feel that when the encounter with the trolls occured it peened my eyes because it told me this adventure would be even tougher than i thought and that a little rain should not put a damper on my happiness.
